Job Advert: Administrative Assistant (Grade 4) – Social Care Charging Team
Location: Rhondda Cynon Taff
Employment Type: Temporary (Cover for Secondment)
Start Date: 19 January 2026
End Date: 12 April 2026
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Hours: 09:00 – 17:30
Salary:
What You’ll Do:• Maintain and update the Council’s financial databases accurately and efficiently.
• Process payments and raise invoices in line with financial procedures.
• Support day-to-day office duties, including mail handling, scanning, and electronic filing.
• Assist the team with administrative workloads to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Follow established systems, processes, and procedures (full training provided).
What We’re Looking For:• Experience working in a financial administration role (essential).
• A high level of accuracy, organisation, and time management skills.
• Good ICT literacy and confidence using financial and administrative systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Knowledge of services provided by the Council’s Community & Children’s Services Group is desirable but not essential.
Essential Requirements:• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• CV and Photo ID.
• Two years of employment references.
• Confirmation of having read and understood the job description and candidate information pack.
