Driver’s Mate – Kitchen Deliveries
Location: Various locations across the region
Hours: Monday to Friday (start times usually between 05:00 – 05:30)
Duration: Ongoing, full-time work
Pay: TBC (dependent on client/site)Role Overview

We are currently recruiting reliable and hardworking Driver’s Mates to join a busy delivery team. You will support the driver in delivering kitchen units and appliances directly to customers’ homes, including flats and properties with stairs. This is a physically demanding role and requires someone who is comfortable with manual handling throughout the working day.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the driver with the safe loading and unloading of kitchens and associated items
• Delivering goods into the customer’s room of choice (including upstairs where required)
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery location
• Working safely and following manual handling guidelines
• Using delivery notes and recording paperwork as needed
• Ensuring vehicles are kept tidy and goods handled carefully
• Working as part of a 2-person team to plan each delivery appropriately

About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to be:

• Physically fit and comfortable lifting heavy items
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Confident interacting with customers in their homes
• A good team player with a helpful attitude
• Able to work long shifts (typically between 8–12 hours per day)

Additional Info

• Some deliveries will involve climbing stairs and moving through narrow spaces
• Manual handling training is beneficial — but full guidance will be provided
• PPE safety boots required
