We are partnering with a leading UK provider of sustainable power solutions to recruit a Battery Energy Storage System Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a fast-growing team and play a key role in the operational management, logistics, and deployment of a hybrid energy fleet.
The successful candidate will work closely with rental and sales teams, supporting the setup, installation, and training of engineers on battery energy storage and hybrid systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with sales teams and rental desks to ensure correct specification and use of equipment
- Support 2nd line customer queries via the service desk, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently
- Attend project kick-off meetings at customer sites and assist with equipment specifications
- Manage resources for the maintenance and upkeep of the hybrid fleet
- Assist engineers in placing and installing systems on customer sites and support their development
- Coordinate with depot staff to ensure proper storage, maintenance, and handling of equipment
- Work with rental management and hire administration to allocate plant to meet customer requirements
- Monitor installations and provide feedback on system performance or issues
- Document and report any lost or damaged equipment, ensuring correct procedures are followed
- Maintain health, safety, and housekeeping standards, including company vehicles
- Comply with ISO H&S, Quality, and Environmental Management procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong understanding of the generator/plant hire market
- Proven experience with battery energy storage, hybrid systems, or similar technology
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer-focused skills
- Flexible and willing to work remotely as required
- Full UK driving licence
- Knowledge of electrical installations and system loading
- IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools
