Cylinder Operative

Opportunity is around the corner as Pertemps are working in partnership with BOC based in Stallingborough, recruiting for a Cylinder Operative to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be required to provide prepared cylinders and drums in accordance with production schedules and production orders.
 
What will I be doing as a Cylinder Operative?

• Processing full and empty cylinders in the yard, including sorting and blowing down
• Testing cylinders in line with legal and safety requirements
• Ensuring only clean, safe, refurbished cylinders remain in circulation
• Isolating damaged cylinders for repair or removal
• Refurbishing cylinders to programme requirements outside routine testing
• Working safely and maintaining a clean working environment

 
What skills and experience do I need?

• Strong safety awareness
• High level of personal integrity
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive, proactive attitude toward safety and continuous improvement
• Comfortable interacting with internal colleagues
• Experience in manufacturing, technical, mechanical or machine-operating roles is beneficial but not essential
• Counterbalance FLT Licence (Preferred)

 
What hours will I be working?

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating shift pattern:
     – 06:00 to 13:30
     – 13:00 to 20:30

 
What will I be paid?

• £17.89 per hour
