This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver high-quality electrical building services across healthcare, education, commercial, and residential sectors while contributing to sustainable, integrated MEP solutions.
The Electrical Design Engineer will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, providing technical expertise, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, sustainably, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical building services systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and fire alarms
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and calculations using AutoCAD; Revit experience advantageous
- Collaborate closely with mechanical and public health engineers to deliver integrated MEP solutions
- Conduct site surveys and inspections to inform design decisions and ensure accuracy
- Liaise with clients and project teams, providing expert technical guidance
- Ensure compliance with UK electrical standards, including BS 7671 and CIBSE guidance
- Support sustainable, energy-efficient, and low-carbon design initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements and best practices
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical building services design within consultancy or similar sectors
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience desirable
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and UK regulations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Passion for sustainable design, innovation, and high-quality delivery
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to producing accurate, reliable work
